The Valley Elite F.C. Micro-Elite 2019 Fall Competitive Development Program is for boys and girls born in 2011 (u08) through 2005 (u14) or 2nd through 8th grade for the 2019/2020 school year.

The goal of this 6 to 8 week program is to take players through age-appropriate development of soccer skills, etiquette, fair play and team dynamics, designed to help further their love and understanding of the game as we prepare them for the transition to competitive travel soccer. There will be emphasis on skills that will allow for valuable participation, understanding and contributions on a team at all positions, while at the same time bolstering the ability to enjoy playing soccer. A byproduct of this development will be increased physical fitness, but given the relatively short fall season, we hope players will bring a baseline of physical fitness. Above all, our goal is to have fun and help players embrace the spirit of the game.

Program Format

Team Format & Player Assignment

Teams will be formed based on total registration and appropriate age breakouts. Our goal is to field the following teams by age groups; 8 to 10 year olds on a u10 team, 10 to 12 year olds on a u12 team, and 12 to 14 year olds on a u14 team. Fall soccer in the state allows for relative flexibility in a team’s player count compared to the spring season. As such, we may see player counts vary by team as necessary. If registration numbers allow, we aim to have a girls and boys team in each age group, however it may be necessary to field an age group as a co-ed team.

The u10 teams will play 7v7, the u12 teams will play 7v7 or 9v9, and the u14 teams will play 9v9 or 11v11 depending on team size throughout the state.

Will begin the week of September 9, 2019 and run weekly through the end of October, weather permitting. Coaches will determine the best day(s), time(s), and location for their team’s practice and will communicate their schedule prior to the first week. Plan on training 2 to 3 days each week for 1 to 2 hours per session. We plan to use Hamilton School district and/or Corvallis School District fields for practices.

Will be scheduled weekly for Friday evenings and/or Saturdays beginning September 13/14, 2019 through the end of October, weather permitting. There will be some travel needed to game locations.

Each player and team will be registered with the Montana Youth Soccer Association’s (MYSA) Fall League for scheduling sanctioned matches. MYSA will be scheduling matches for Saturday’s throughout the state, however, we will do our best to keep travel distance to a minimum (i.e. no more than 2 to 3 hours from Hamilton). Not every weekend will be a scheduled MYSA sanctioned match, therefore each team will also be scheduled for friendlies/scrimmages locally (Hamilton, Stevensville, Missoula, etc.) on Friday evenings and/or Saturdays to allow for adequate opportunities to practice what has been taught during training. Game day schedules will be published closer to start of the season.

Program Cost

$75.00 non-refundable, all-inclusive registration/program fee.

Every player will be given a game-day jersey to keep.

Each player/family is responsible for their own travel expenses (gas, food, etc.) to game day locations. There are no team fees for the fall program.

Player Equipment

For matches/scrimmages/friendlies wear black shorts, black socks and the provided game-day jersey. Every players MUST have shin guards and soccer cleats for training/practices and games or they cannot participate. Please be sure that your player has adequate water with them.

1 to 2 licensed referees per team are REQUIRED in order to participate in MYSA sanctioned matches. Lack of referees will force the team to forfeit. Referees are also vital for scrimmages/ friendlies. Referees are paid for each game they officiate and Valley Elite F.C. will reimburse initial licensing and uniform expenses for newly licensed referees.

Each team will be coached by an experienced and licensed United States Youth Soccer Coach. Valley Elite F.C. and MYSA require our coaches to pass a background check, complete concussion awareness training provided by the CDC, obtain a minimum of a Grassroots certification (equivalent to an F Grade License) with US Soccer, and additional licensing as required based on the level of team and years of coaching.  Valley Elite’s Technical Director is responsible for establishing and communicating the core curriculum for the program and administering necessary coach training.
